Investors Group – The Coast to Coast Against Kids Cancer Challenge features a 40 KM bike run from Greenwood to Bridgetown. The finishing line is at our Café and all funds raised go to help local children. The Ciderfest leg is being coordinated by IG representative and Ciderfest committee member, Amy Dewhirst. Bridgetown High School students will battle in grades against each other in survival battles of the wisest, fittest, and toughest grades. Come watch as fierce groups go into battle. Bring your family and enjoy a morning of laughter games and fun with tons of enjoyable activities. (soccer pull, washer toss, mock jail, quarter board games).

11am - Jubilee Park Natural Playground Birthday Party & Picnic
The Jubilee Park Natural Playground will celebrate its 1st birthday with a party and picnic on Saturday, September 17th at 11:00 am. Afterwards, stick around town to catch the Ciderfest Grand Parade & Children’s Parade. The group behind the natural playground continues to enhance this wonderful community play space. To learn more about the project or to get involved, please contact Lauren Soloy at 665-4502.

 

2:00PM Children’s Parade

This years theme is Circus Fun

Line up at 1:00 for judging at the Post Office parking lot. The Children’s Parade will again lead out the Grand Street Parade and turn off at Washington Street.

Individual entries will compete for prizes from Scotia Gift Baskets. Classes from the Bridgetown Elementary School will be competing with the best judged float receiving a new computer donated by Graves Valufoods for their classroom. 2:00PM Grand Street Parade

Parade Marshall – Dr George Allen

Marshalling prior to 1:00PM on the Bay Road and judging to take place from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Please note the change in route - goes east on Granville Street from the Bridgetown Development Centre, along Granville Street to the Bridgetown Regional High School where it will end. Trophies and prizes available in all categories. Come out and view our pre-parade entertainment. Contact Gerry @ 665-4400 to pre-register.

 

3:30PM Rubber Duck Race

A fundraiser for the Bridgetown Cadet Corps

No entry Fee: Categories – 10 to 13 age group

14 to 18 age group

Open category

Trophies and prizes available for all age groups as well as best dressed crew and

best looking boat. All entries should be at Jubilee Park by 3:30pm
